Responsible Business Practice

Different needs

We make our products and services accessible to all our customers, including those with differing needs. Virgin has worked hard to be fully compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA).

Virgin websites

Virgin.com and the Virgin Group of Companies are committed to website accessibility. We have built the Virgin.com website to meet the level 2 recommendations made by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to achieve a combination of an "A" and "AA" rating.

If anyone uses specialised software, such as a screen reader, to view one of our websites, they will find that the site has been designed in a way that makes it easier for them to find what they're looking for.

Accessibility testing will become a part of our normal testing process when we design new functionality.

See what our companies are doing below:

Virgin Active
All Virgin Active health clubs are accessible to people with disabilities and to customers in wheelchairs. Additionally Virgin Active front-of-house managers have the YMCA Fitness Industry Training Disability Equity Training Certificate.

Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic has pledged to abide by the terms of the Airline Passenger Service Commitment, which sets minimum standards for the accessibility of airline services to people with disabilities or reduced mobility.
